Botanic Garden in Kioto
The largest botanical garden in Japan, built in 1924. There are about 120 thousand plants in the garden. The main emphasis is on growing: bamboo, hydrangeas, peonies, lotuses and irises. The garden is also famous for its huge greenhouse complex, with an area of about 5 m2. The complex has several zones: carnivorous and aquatic plants, pineapple hall, desert and savannah plants, jungle plants, orchids, indoor plants, tropical plants.
